Shining Star

I can't believe that its almost a month since my last blog post, as always...real life got in the way. LOL!
The month of May was busy with ballet practices for my girls, another beach trip with friends, and back-to-school preparations. In between those activities, I managed to finish this layout...

Title: Shining Star
Journaling: Our little girl all dressed up for star kid recognition (22 Mar 2012)
Used EP Victoria Garden pps and stickers, Shabby Green Door pp,  Prima flowers, assorted trims, and Spellbinders die.

With the new school year about to start, I guess we'll be back to regular programming soon.

NSD with Basic Grey

I had fun spending National Scrapbooking Day and the rest of the week with the Basic Grey challenges.... it helps that I have an untouched Indie Bloom collection pack in my stash. Well, here are my layouts....

For the shape challenge (use shapes other than squares and rectangles), I used hexagons which is so "in" at the moment. Used Sweet Threads for this one.

For the mixed font challenge...used a mix of the sticker alphas and Wilma chipboard alphas.Obviously, our family loves the Pocketbooth app in our Ipad.

For the mulitple layers challenge....I had fun with this pic. Its a pic of my girls with their cousin Korey. The picture was quite dark but with the mulitple editing options we have nowadays, it looks better now.

For the Jana Eubank challenge...layout has to be split in the middle, either horizontally or vertically. Here's my version...

Thanks for dropping by! There are so many more challenges that I want to do!!!

Tree Planting

After a month long scrapping hiatus.... I am back with a layout! April just passed me by but it has been a very memorable month filled with scrappable memories.

Here's my layout for our May 1 challenge at Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge. Its all about gardens and gardening. May is springtime for our friends in the US, and it is time to be out in the gardens. The challenge is to scrap something about your garden ---- how you love to be out in it, or what it means to you, or alternatively, scrap about an outdoor sanctuary that you appreciated --- perhaps your mother's garden or park????

I don't have a green thumb but luckily I have pics of DH and my girls planting some tree seedlings for our future garden.

I hope you can join in our challenge. Details can be found HERE!
I hope I can scrap more this week!!!
