Here's my layout...

I hope you like it coz I had fun making it. Played with texture paste and distress inks for this one.

I'm back!

Happy New Year to all! I know my greeting is very late but I just realized that this is my first blog post for 2013! Yup, my scrapbooking is off to a slow start this year but I'm glad to share with you two new layouts! Both are about my daughters' love for ballet...

Title: I hope you dance
My DD Ally on her first ballet recital last May 2012. She loves dancing and is already looking forward to her next dance recital this summer. Used a mini kit by Echo Park.

Title: She's a Dancer
My DD Julia on her ballet recital last May 2011. She stopped taking lessons for 1 1/2 years but her love for ballet has prevailed so now she's back. The background paper and flowers are from Prima but the stickers are from Echo Park. Oh, and this layout is based on Sketch 241 at Creative Scrappers.

Thanks for dropping! My next agenda is to scrap Christmas photos. Hope to be back soon.

My Girls and their Daddy

This post is dedicated to the father of my children...we can't thank you enough for everything that you have done and everything that you have given us. For fixing things in the house (yes you are our handy daddy), for cooking our favorite steak and lechon roll, for teaching the girls how to brush their teeth, for helping Julia in her Algebra worksheets, for spoiling us, for being our defender at all times, for the unconditional love, for being our shoulder to cry on...and the list goes on! WE LOVE YOU VERY MUCH, more than words can ever, ever, ever say!

Title: No.1 Dad
Used kit by April Lim
Journaling: Anyone can be a father but it takes someone special to be a Dad.

The challenge at Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge is all about dad...I hope you can join in the fun! I'm pretty sure you'll be taking pics of this special day so this is the perfect chance to scrap those pics right away!  Link up your layouts HERE! The sketch for this challenge follows...feel free to interpret it any way you want.

This next layout is a "just because" one. Made it for the Creative Scrappers' recent Sunshine Crop.

I got this quote from Julia's Total Girl School planner and I think its sooo cute! Used This and That Graceful for this one.

Have a great day and an even greater week ahead!

Shining Star

I can't believe that its almost a month since my last blog post, as always...real life got in the way. LOL!
The month of May was busy with ballet practices for my girls, another beach trip with friends, and back-to-school preparations. In between those activities, I managed to finish this layout...

Title: Shining Star
Journaling: Our little girl all dressed up for star kid recognition (22 Mar 2012)
Used EP Victoria Garden pps and stickers, Shabby Green Door pp,  Prima flowers, assorted trims, and Spellbinders die.

With the new school year about to start, I guess we'll be back to regular programming soon.

A little distressing goes a long way

I needed to satisfy my craving to scrap so I got creative yesterday and scrapped a layout.  It looked plain to me so I decided to distress the edges with blue and yellow and this is what I came up with it:

Title: Disney Magic
Journaling: Disneyland for the 2nd time but the excitedment is even greater this time around. (May 2011, Anaheim, CA)
Materials: Echo Park Summer Days and Happy Days mixed in with Prima and Scenic Route plus a Tim Holtz die

As always, a Sketchy Thursdays' sketch keeps me going and as usual, I almost forgot about the deadline. LOL! Here's the sketch for this week:

Gotta run!!!

Sketchy Thursdays and Echo Park

I've been loving the sketches at Sketchy Thursdays coz the simplicity leaves a lot of room for the imagination. My two latest layouts are based on their sketches. Too bad I wasn't able to upload the other one in time. Anyway, I also used my Echo Park stash for these two layouts.

This layout is based on this week's sketch. The minute I saw these pics, I knew my title will be "SOAKED!" Used Echo Park Happy Days for this one.

Here's the sketch:

This next layout is the one that didn't quite meet the deadline....

Obviously, I'm still working on pics from last summer. LOL! Talk about backlog but I'm getting there...
