Sweet treats and more

This is the last layout I finished, about 2 weeks ago. This is my take for Sketch #40 at Creative Scrappers. I used BG cupcake pps for this layout.

Well, the reason I haven't scrapped for quite some time is... we were away last weekend to visit this place:

We had super duper fun and I have more than 4GB worth of pics to go through! I definitely need to get scrappin...

This is what I have been doing...

Just sharing some of the layouts I finished recently...

This is a layout of my DD Ally. She is such an amazing little girl. At 2 and a half years old, she talks like an adult but I love the innocence of her face, the twinkle in her eyes. She never fails to brighten up my day. I did this for the SrappinKids February challenge. The requirement was to use one word to describe your child. Details of the challenge can be seen here.

Journaling: You never cease to amaze me everyday, the way you talk, the expressions on your face, the twinkle in your eyes...you are truly amazing. (jan 2009, Ally at 2 1/2).

I used the beautiful Scenic Route Sonoma papers!

This next layout is for one of the February Scrap Challenges at Coordinates Collections. The challenge is to ask someone to make a list of 9 reasons why this person loves you. It has to be handwritten by this person, and included in the layout as journaling. The picture to be used should be you and the person who made the list. Fun challenge right!? Well, I asked my eldest daughter to make the list, and this is what she wrote...

9 reasons why I love my mommy:
1) she drives me to school
2) she takes care of me
3) her cooking is the best
4) she teaches me sometimes
5) she lets me use the computer
6) she helps me
7) she helps me scrap
8) she gives me medicine when I'm sick
9) she sleeps beside me

Here's the layout:

This next layout is my entry to the Stitch Me a Song Challenge at the Pinoyscrapbookers blog. As the name implies, the requirements were to use the title or lyrics of a song as the title, plus use of stitching. It was hard to choose just one song but this is what I came up with:

Title: These are the moments (but the song's title is "Could not ask for more"

Journaling:
These are the moments I thank God that I'm alive
These are the moments I'll remember all my life
I found all I've waited for
And I could not ask for more

I could not ask for more than this time together
I could not ask for more than this time with you
Every prayer has been answered
Every dream I have's come true

The song is written by Diane Warren and sung by Edwin Mcain but there is a local revival by Nina. You can listen to the song here.

My Valentine Project

I intended to join Scrappin Kids Valentine Challenge, but I missed the deadline. Still, I'm sharing my little Valentine project. It's a wall decor made from altering one of those ID holders that I get from attending conventions. Here's a sample of what I'm talking about:

Here it is in altered state:

Black is Beautiful

I'm off to a slow start this February as far as scrapping is concerned. I haven't scrapped for about a week now, and well, this is not me. LOL! Here are some layouts I finished awhile back. I didn't realize these two layouts both have the same black background.

This is my take for sketch #38 at Creative Scrappers. It's reveal day today, and this layout as well as the other DT's interpretation are up at the blog. Check it out here.

Journaling: I am not just your mommy, I'm also your best friend. XOXO.

This is for my co-DT Keely's AD challenge. This is the ad:

Here's my layout. Is there any resemblance?

Thanks for looking! Have a great week!
