It's a recipe challenge this time!

The Design Dollies final elements challenge for the month is a recipe for ya... This week, please use the following items in your next project:

1. A ticket (any type)
2. The color yellow
3. Polka dots
4. Paint
5. Journaling or a WORDY sentiment

Here's my layout:

My DD Ally is in nursery this year. She LOVES going to school! This is the exact opposite of how she felt when she started pre-school last year. I'm so proud of my little girl!

Anyway, please do join us for this final elements challenge for the month for a chance to win a $15 GC from our sponsor Scrap A Doodle Doo!

Burgundy.Black.Yellow

The color challenge this week for Design Dollies is up! Honestly, this was quite challenging for me because of the yellow but I love thinking out of the box. This lets me work with colors that I don't usually use.

When I found out about this DT assignment, My Little Yellow Bicycle Love Letters collection is what came to my mind right away! I'm glad I was able to use those transparencies. It has been in my stash for about a year now...

I hope you can join us for this color combo. Layouts are due by 9/26 midnight EST. You can also opt to wait for the elements and sketch and go for the trifecta!

All Dressed Up

My brother-in-law got married last June and it was the perfect excuse for us to dress up! Here's a layout to help us remember that beautiful day!

Layout is based on a Sketchy Thursday sketch and is my entry for the October GDT. Wish me luck! Here's the sketch...

Biking Lessons

It's time for another sketch at Design Dollies and its a fun sketch to work with coz there are so many possiblities. Head on over to the doll house to see the DT's takes.

Here's my layout!

Julia wanted biking lessons this summer and Daddy patiently taught him. She's quite a fast learner especially when compared to me! LOL! I used some Prima and AC Dear Lizzy for this one. I love that bike chipboard!!!

Playing along with Sketchabilities

I'm playing along with Sketchabilities birthday celebration! Here are a couple of layouts I created using their sketches.

I switched some elements around and used a horizontal photo but I think the sketch is still recognizable. LOL! This layout is a gift for my friend Liezl Arellano.

This sketch is perfect for 3 photos:

Here's my layout!

Yup, that's me with my nephews Kanoa and Korey! I love the colors of this layout and it took me just over an hour to finish it. Used mostly Cosmo Cricket for this one.

Thanks for dropping by...

Alter your ATC's!

The elements challenge for Design Dollies this week involves making an ATC and using this ATC on a project. Hmmm....this is really something to think about for me. This is my ATC...

And here's my project... a box that has not been thrown away coz I know I will use it sometime.

I painted it first with bronze acrylic paint and then I placed patterned paper, pearl trim, flowers, and my ATC. It is now an altered gift box!!!

Please do join us for this challenge, or you can also go for the trifecta.

The Studio Challenges Summer Cybercrop

I came across The Studio Challenges Summer Cybercrop and decided to play along coz I really want to get some scrapping done! There are a lot of challenges but I only got to do 2. Things are still busy at work and at the homefront. Okay, before I end up ranting, here are the projects I finished...

This is based on a Becky Fleck sketch and will go into my Chicago travel album. I love October Afternoon! It seems all the paper lines go well together!

This is for the Cosmo Cricket card challenge. I've been struggling with card making lately....hehe!

I'm REALLY hoping I get to scrap more!!!

Black, Green, Pink and White

This is color combo is part of my comfort zone! I just love using green and pink together! Can you tell I had fun making this layout? Lots of handmade flowers on this one too! If this combo is your fave or if you haven't given it a try, then now is the best time! Head on over to Design Dollies for the details!

Every now and then, I scrap "older" photos. This is one of them. Julia is just 3 years old here. This photo was taken on her day care graduation. Time sure flies, she is now in 2nd grade!
