I haven't posted these yet!

Here are the rest of my layouts for the ScrapMuse October kit. The newsletter is out and you can check it out here! This kit is really fun to work with. There are lots of different patterns and the colors are just wonderful. Among my favorites in the kit are the jillibean journaling spots, and the canvas cut-outs!

Our theme for the month is using a photo of an inanimate object. I scrappred about my desire to get fit and healthy.

Thanks for looking!

Bundle of Joy

My daughter Julia was almost 5 years old when I started scrapping so she doesn't have a lot of baby layouts. I was looking through her albums and found this picture. It is a little bit blurred but I love the way Daddy is looking at baby Julia.

Title: Bundle of Joy
Journaling: Words cannot express how happy I am to finally be able to hold you in my arms. love, Daddy. 9/20/02

I made this layout for the October Challenge at Let's Get Shabby. I got the lace I used from my mom's drawer filled with sewing supplies. She used to sew identical dresses for me and my sister when were little.

We have weekly sketches for you at Inspired Blueprints since it's our first birthday. Here's the 2nd one for the month!

Here's my take...

Title: Seven
Journaling: I can't believe you are now seven years old, it seems like such a grown up age BUT deep in my heart you will always be my baby. I love you my sweetheart.
Used Webster's pages & 7Gypsies pps, and Prima flowers, alphas, epoxy sticker for this one.

Just a few gorgeous details...

I really hope you can join in the fun, the sketches are really fun to work with.

P.S. I think the layout matches the background of my blog :)

Flight to School

"Flight to School" is the October kit of ScrapMuse, and it's so much fun to work with! This month's kit is loaded with bright, happy papers from Jillibean, Scribble Scrabble, Making Memories, and Jenni Bowlin. Here's what the kit looks like:

Here's my first layout with the kit. I'm into "white space" layouts lately.

October is here!

It's the first of October...and its my birthday month, it also means Christmas will be here before we know it. Sadly though, Typhoon Ketsana (Ondoy locally) brought severe devastation to the country. So many people have lost their homes and some even lost loved ones. Let us all continue to pray for those who were affected and also pray that the new typhoon Parma who's supposedly on its way here doesn't cause us more trouble.

On the lighter side of things... here are some layouts I finished recently.

Did this for Moments Recorded Challenge #16. A sketch was provided and book paper, staples, masking tape, and paint should be used.
Title: Sophie and Ally
Journaling: When you started school, you refused to be left behind BUT things changed when you became friends with Sophie. Now, the two of you are inseparable. Everyday after school, you play together in the swing. sophie is your 1st best friend. (DCL Playground, Sept 09)

That's Julia on her birth and her first bath ever! Can't help but feel sentimental while doing this layout coz my baby is now 7 years old! This is for Dotty Divas challenge #3. The challenge is ad-inspired. You can see the ad and the details here.

A little close-up:

And this one is for Kaya challenge for September. The good news about this layout is... I WON in the random drawing!!! Yipee!
Title: Pasta Night
Journaling: I’m not an expert when it comes to cooking but I try my best to come out with something new. Tonight I experimented with chicken thigh fillet and some pasta. It must have been good coz Julia said…”mommy’s cooking is the best!” Now, we have “pasta night” at least once a week! (12Sept2009)

I'm now working on the ScrapMuse October kit which is filled with lots of YUMMY stuff!!! Stay tuned for the layouts!
