I'm still lovin the shabby chic look at the moment, and here are two more layouts that I finished recently but haven't been posted here yet
This layout is based on Prima's sketch for April. I just adore how Ally looks up to Julia. If my memory serves me right, I believe I have a picture just like this...me looking up to my dear sister.
This layout is for A Peek Into Yesterday's April Challenge about "New Growth." Its a "ME" layout this time. Photo was taken on my birthday last year with the bouquet that DH gave to me.
Thanks for taking time to look and read my blog. I probably won't be updating for quite some time...scrapper will be on vacation!

Addicted to Sketches
Yup, that's me! Most of the time, a good sketch is a good starting point for me when making layouts. Here are some layouts I finished recently, all three are inspired by sketches!
This photo makes me feel sentimental, coz my daughter Julia is just 3 months old here and she is now 7 1/2! I went through her albums recently and realized that I haven't done many layouts of her infancy days. I started scrapping when she was almost 5 years old so I have a lot of backlog. I wish I started scrapping earlier!Anyway, this is based on a Design Dollies sketch.
Here's a closer look at the journaling card...
This layout is based on Twisted Sketches #048. The twist for this sketch is "handmade." I embellished my page with a layered flower. Again, this is Julia at around 3 months old. So sorry but the photo of the layout is not so good coz I really have a hard time taking pictures of layouts with transparencies : (
Last but not the least, this layout is for the PageMaps contest. Photos are from our beach trip last December. I really love it when kids are so serious at play...
That's it folks!

MY NSD weekend
It was a productive weekend for me coz I joined the challenges at Scrapbook Challenges. I was able to finish 5 layouts including the sketch layout in my previous post. For a slow scrapper like me, this is an accomplishment. Most of them are simple but I was able to scrap photos that have been printed out, and I got to use my stash (to make way for new ones, LOL!)
1) For the 3-2-1 scraplift challenge (3 manufacturers - I used MM, BG, & OA; 2 journaling blocks, 1 word title) and layout should be a scraplift of any layout in the gallery. It was hard to choose just one but I really love Pamela's layout, its so stunning! Here's my layout and the original follows...
2) "Why do you scrap" challenge! I rarely scrap about myself but I love this journaling prompt.
Journaling:
1) its an expression of love
2) I want my family to remember the little details
3) I love photos
4) I've made so many good friends through this hobby
5) It relaxes me
6) Scrap supplies are so beautiful
7) Scrapping made me realize that I have a creative side
8) It makes me happy!
3) For black, white, gray & red color combo challenge. I was a bit "scared" of the color combo coz I rarely use gray. I dug through my stash and couldn't find a lot of red (I should get more!) but here's what I came up with.
Journaling: The two of you make life sweet but there are moments when you get on each other's nerves too!
4)Frame it Challenge. Obviously this is about frames! I've been hoarding the Sassafrass pp with all the frames so this is the perfect time to use it! Here's my layout...
Title & Journaling: Happiness is being near you.
That's it folks! I hope you had fun on NSD weekend too!
