Glitzmas is here!
Here are my layouts for the December ScrapMuse kit. It was so much fun creating holiday inspired layouts in the midst of the season. I love this kit coz the colors are not so traditional, and can definitely be used for non-Christmas related layouts.
This is my first layout with the kit. This photo is 3 years old, and has been scrapped before but I gave it to my dear sis so this time around, this layout is mine. That's Ally at 4 months old being carried by her cousin Kanoa. Photo was taken when they came to visit in 2006. This is really precious and moments like these don't happen everyday. Sigh...
This photo was taken last year near the huge Christmas tree inside the UPLB campus.
Journaling: Christmas isn't a season, it's a feeling. Let your light shine brightly all year round.
Here's a close up of the alphas. I painted the alphas red then applied some of the Shimmerz paint that came with the kit. I love the frosted look!
Journaling: We don't have snow in our country so posing beside a silvery white Christmas tree is the closest you'll get to a white Christmas.
I dabbed some shimmerz paint on the snowflakes for the added shimmer. Nice!
This is another old photo but is super special! This is our first Christmas as a family!
Journaling: When I was a little girl, we always have a family picture taken during Christmas. This year is extra special coz I know have my own little girl to pose with. (Dec 2002)
I made a flower out of the the ribbons from the ribbon add-on.
I made a little tree also!
Our theme for the month is holiday traditions and this is about my mom's fruitcake.
Journaling: Year after year, when the holiday season comes close, we find Mom busy in the kitchen baking fruitcake. She gives these as gifts to friends and with time, people has asked her to bake for them too. Our Christmas feast is never complete without it. Whenever I smell the aroma of freshly baked fruitcake, I know Christmas is just around the corner.
That's it folks...hope your'e done with your Christmas shopping!

Indulge!
The Christmas rush is here...need to finish up my Christmas list, then wrap gifts, maybe bake some cookies too but I need to squeeze in some scrap time too! I would like to share with you my layout for Sketch 37 at Inspired Blueprints. It is a mulit-photo sketch, perfect for scrapping events like birthdays!
Title: Indulge
These are photos taken during my birthday last October. Timi's, Ytet's and my birthday fall on the same week so its been three years now that we have been celebrating birthdays together!
Materials Used: I used papers from the July ScrapMuse kit (Making Memories, Hambly, & American Crafts), Prima flowers & pearls, All About Scrapbooking alphas.
Here's the sketch:
I hope you get to squeeze in some scrap time too!

Color Combo Challenge with a Twist!
The holiday season is in full swing. Christmas decorations are up and we see red and green everywhere. I am hosting the December contest at ScrapMuse and this is what it's all about...I want you to use the colors red & green as inspiration in creating a layout. You can use a little of other colors but the layout should be predominantly red & green. Another thing I want to see is glitter and at least 3 patterned papers! Your layout can be Christmas related or not, its really up to you!
Here is my sample:
The papers I used ( American Crafts Kids & Everyday, Scenic Route Sonoma, & Basic Grey Boxer) are not actually holiday papers, and so is my photo.
Other details of the contest can be found here. I hope you can squeeze in an entry despite the busy season!
Happy Weekend & Happy Scrapping!

More of Festive Harvest
I know this is quite late, but here's the rest of my layouts using ScrapMuse Festive Harvest kit. The colors are just divine...brown, orange, blue, & green. I also have some faves in the kit, the Little Yellow Bicycle chipboard frames, the SEI Moravia papers, Prima pearls & crystals and a bottle of Smooch. YUMMY!
Title: Little Man
Journaling: You are perfect just the way you are!
That's my super cute nephew Korey!
Title: Sad
Journaling: You are dressed up today for your school program but you are not in the mood to smile. Cheer up my dear! (12 Oct 2009, DCL grounds)
A closer look at the flower:
I added a little Smooch on the edges of the flower.
Title: First
Journaling: Our first family picture! (Oct 2002)
I found this picture recently and even if the quality is not the best, this is our first ever family picture. Definitely scrappable!
Title: Party On!
Journaling: An out of town trip with family is what you wanted for your 7th birthday. We fixed up our hotel room for the festive touch! (20 Sept 2009, Taal Vista Hotel)
This was lots of fun! I really love working with kits!

Ad Inspired
The current challenge at Method Playground is all about ads and how this somehow inspires us scrappers in creating layouts. This is the cute ad that I found in a magazine....
And this is my layout....
Title: Fun in the Tub
Journaling: This is something you always look forward to! (Ally at 3).
Can you tell I'm a Basic Grey Fan? I used patterned papers from 3 different lines of BG (Urban Praire, Bittersweet, and Lemonade). This was fun to do!

We love dolphins!
Here's my layout for the latest sketch at Inspired Blueprints!
We recently visited Ocean Adventure in Subic and we fell in love with the dolphins.
Title: Up Close and Personal
Journaling: A chance to touch and pet a dolphin is an experience we just can't miss! (Ocean Adventure, Subic 10/22/09)
Notice those black vinyl rub-ons? EAD designs have been very generous in providing the DT's with a pack of their amazing rub-ons. These rub-ons are really gorgeous and are so easy to adhere to your page!
Oh, by the way, here's the sketch.
This sketch is perfect for a single photo layout. I'm looking forward to seeing your creations at the gallery!

Bundle of Joy
My daughter Julia was almost 5 years old when I started scrapping so she doesn't have a lot of baby layouts. I was looking through her albums and found this picture. It is a little bit blurred but I love the way Daddy is looking at baby Julia.
Title: Bundle of Joy
Journaling: Words cannot express how happy I am to finally be able to hold you in my arms. love, Daddy. 9/20/02
I made this layout for the October Challenge at Let's Get Shabby. I got the lace I used from my mom's drawer filled with sewing supplies. She used to sew identical dresses for me and my sister when were little.
